AfriCaribbean Music Festival in promotional partnership with Miami Carnival will be the FIRST ever festival in Sierra Leone, designed to bring together Africans, Caribbeans, African-Americans and Afro-Latinos through Soca music, arts, culture and ancestry while sharing these connections with the world in a week-long festival events of solar-powered outdoor venues in natural coastal landscapes. The experience will culminate in the presentation and unveiling of a set of commemorative artworks from the District, Maryland and Virginia’s (DMV) arts community to the residents of the city of Freetown to bring together the African and Caribbean culture from the diaspora in one unique location, Sierra Leone. AfriCaribbean Music Festival has the generous ambition to mix some of the best Gumbe, Soca, Dancehall Calypso Bubu and Afrobeat music to Sierra Leone . The AfriCaribbean Festival team will be bringing International and domestic, Soca, Dancehall, Calypso and Afrobeat artists and performers of good name to participate in the festival celebrating 60 years of the Independence of Sierra Leone.
